Chicken Jalfrezi


4 chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes

1 green Capsicum ( pepper), sliced

2 medium onions, sliced

2 tbsp oil or ghee

1 tbsp red chili paste (grind 6 red chillies with some water)

fresh chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tomato

2 tbsp tomato puree

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tbsp garlic paste

1 tbsp fresh grated ginger

1 tsp garam masala

salt to taste


Heat the ghee in a wok and fry the onions till translucent, now add the grated ginger and garlic paste. cook for 3 minutes, add the chicken, capsicum, and the rest of the ingredients except tomato and garam masala. Cook till the chicken is cooked and tender. Now add the chopped tomato and garam masala and cook for 6 more minutes. Serve with Naan or Coconut Rice
